Eigg, muck and sharks

The photo below is a shark.  Really.  It doesn't look very big, but it is the worlds second biggest fish, a basking shark, and extends beyond my photo, but other than the one fin it's all under water.  We took the ferry from Mallaig to Muck, and saw this lovely creature on the way back, in fact we saw another one somewhere else.  They are quite hard to spot, but this ferry has a great place to stand at the front.  We saw many porpoises, just flicking through the water.  Lots of shearwaters, and lots of gannets (see right), my favourite birds.

This is just off the campsite we were staying at by Arisaig.  Lovely for seakayaking, swimming, beachcombing.

'The' photo of Eigg's nose.  Eigg has won several awards now for it's low carbon approach to electricity and heat generation, initiated by the islanders
I couldn't resist this lovely sailing boat with Rum in the background.
I spotted a great advert in the Oban times 'bag of assorted antlers £20'

Kids are back at school now.  Anja started highschool in Oban last week.  Life keeps moving on.
