Torr na Locha

We have just had a lovely weekend at our cottage Torr na Locha on the Isle of Mull. It was a chance to set up the cottage after the winter, and as always it was fabulous weather! We sat outside drinking tea and having lunch. While we did some odd jobs and cleaning, the kids entertained the cheeky sheep and the new cows.

I even got some eggs from Mark's chickens that the kids collected in the morning for mother's day.

This photo shows the views you get from the bath.

Last week's kayak in Loch Etive.

The highschool children were very excited by the 'one show' being in Oban on Friday. A sport relief effort to run from Tobermory to London. We were waiting for the ferry and 'snapped' them.

Dear Damon and Renate,
We have just booked to stay at Torr na Locha in July for four days. I cant tell you how excited I am as it looks like paradise. I am even more excited to find a blog telling me more about the property, as its always interesting to learn a buildings history.
Any tips on places or things to see, theres just two of us with our two dogs

Hi Stacey. I don't know if my reply registered. Definitely make sure you walk around the headland of Ardtun from Torr na Locha and go down to the leafbeds and the sea to the stunning basalt caves, just like Staffa. Ardalanish beach is our favourite, just 10 mins drive, along with visiting the weavers there. Lots of walks and things to do described in the folder in the cottage. Plus loads of Mull guide booklets. Our own website cottageholidaymull .co.uk has some more info too.
